The Admissions Program for new lawyers consists of the Bar Admission Course, a period of articles and the Bar Examinations. We urge all applicants to read the Admissions Program Guide, in order to become familiar with the program before filing an application.
To qualify for admission to the Law Society of New Brunswick, an applicant must satisfy Council that he or she is of good character and repute and has acquired credentials through one of the following options:
Process for Graduates of an Accredited Law School (Common Law) For applicants who have acquired an LL. B. or a J.D. in Canada |
Process for Lawyers from another Province (National Mobility Agreement) For applicants transferring from another province of Canada |
Process for Internationally Educated Lawyers For applicants with a Law Degree obtained outside of Canada |
