2013 Queen’s Counsel Ceremony

Ten New Brunswick lawyers have been appointed Queen’s Counsel by the Lieutenant-Governor of New Brunswick, Graydon Nicholas.

The distinction of Queen’s Counsel is conferred upon experienced lawyers in recognition of their commitment to the principles of the legal profession and contributions to their communities.

Eligible lawyers include those who have been members of the Law Society of New Brunswick and have been engaged in the active practice of law in the province for at least 15 years with extensive experience before the courts or have demonstrated exceptional service to the profession.

The official ceremony acknowledging the new members of the Queen’s Counsel took place on Monday, October 28, 2013, at the Legislative Assembly Chambers in Fredericton.

Note:  James E. Fowler, Q.C., of Moncton, was also selected to be appointed Queen's Counsel, however, was unable to attend the ceremony on October 28, 2013.  Mr. Fowler's official ceremony will take place on January 23, 2014.
